In 1984, Ken and his wife Janet opened the Crabhole Restaurant located in Spanish Town, South Valley Virgin Gorda, British Virgin Islands. Crabhole Restaurant was a very popular and sought after restaurant by locals and visitors. They were often recognized in the island's tourism guide and welcome magazine and has been referred by many visiting tourists. Crabhole prides itself of being one the the first local restaurants in the 80's on the island of Virgin Gorda - a very popular tourist destination islands in the BVI. Many locals today still reminisce highly of Crabholes' infamous Roti's and Fry Fish with Johnny Cake. Ken was the master chef behind these two dishes and eventually passed on his talents to the rest of his cooks. Other island delicacies featured on Crabhole's menu were conch, mutton, bull foot soup, goat water, whelks, local fish and fungi, oxtail, souse, salt fish, chicken pilau and the list goes on! Crabhole Restaurant was in a prime location and hosted and sponsored many functions such as:
Ken and Janet were very proud of their established restaurant they both were excellent dart and domino players and and sponsored many tournaments on the Island. Although they both retired from the sport, they recently became winners of a VG Tournament. which proved their great talent and passion in the games. Added to this was Ken's intellectual pool playing skills, many persons Ken played with still speak so highly of him as a classic pool player. Crabhole's own teams ("The Ambassadors" and "Bandelaros") participated and received numerous trophies for many of the tournaments mentioned above. As entrepreneurs Ken and Janet worked along with their staff in providing the best service to their customers. Their three children also got involved in the business with helpful service during high volume reservations. Crabhole operated for over Twenty two years before closing for business in 2009.
In addition to the Crabhole Restaurant, Kenroy and Janet eventually became Landlords, after the successful construction and management of their apartment buildings.
